We feature a beautiful Brazillian Morganite this week. Morganite is the relatively rare pink variety of beryl, which includes emerald, aquamarine, and heliodor in its gemstone family. Named after J.P Morgan, a famous American financier and gem collector, they are usually found in delicate, pastel hues. A pure pink is considered most desirable but recently peachy or salmon coloured stones have been in high demand.
Morganite is known for its brilliant transparency and, when faceted skilfully, displays a very pleasing sparkle. Our feature cocktail ring is a delicate 18ct. rose gold, double-claw design which highlights our exquisite soft-hued morganite. Pretty in pink, indeed.
